Maddy Zacks’ practice focuses on real estate litigation, specifically landlord/tenant law. Before entering real estate practice at Zacks, Freedman & Patterson, she worked as an extern for Magistrate Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley in the Northern District of California. She also worked at the Federal Public Defender’s office in Little Rock, Arkansas as part of the Capital Habeas Unit, where she drafted habeas corpus appeals for men on death row. Maddy is a graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, where she served on the executive board of the Women’s Law Association and won the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Research, Writing and Analysis.
